Wondering where are the best skate spots in Barcelona? Or the best skate parks in the city? If you love skateboarding, Barcelona is a nice city to practice this sport! Here we share a list of some of the most iconic spots for skateboarders, as well as some of the nicest skate parks in the city.

It is part of the identity of the city. And its architecture in some areas invites everyone to practice this sport, which makes it one of the favorite cities for skateboarders. Barcelona also hosts annually some of the most recognized skateboarding events, such as Extreme Barcelona in Park del Fòrum.

MACBA, the most famous skate spot in Barcelona

Definitely the most iconic skate spot in the city. MACBA is actually one of the most important museums in the city, and besides the art, this spot also gives the name to the most famous skate spot to practice skateboarding in Barcelona. It has long stone benches and staircases, and no matter what time you walk around this place, for sure you will find people enjoying skateboarding here.

Skatepark Sants

Right when you leave Sants Station, you encounter this skate spot in the middle of Estació de Sants square. It is not as famous as MACBA, but it is also a nice place to skateboard in Barcelona.

Where: Plaça dels Països Catalans.

Plaça Universitat, skate spot in the city center

It is not the biggest skate spot in Barcelona, but definitely the most centric. So if you feel like skateboarding without having to move to less centric areas in the city, this skate park can be a good option.

Where: Plaça de la Universitat.   

Skateplaza Born, in Parc de la Ciutadella

This skateboard was created with a clear goal: to integrate skateboarding into the urban landscape of Barcelona and its architecture. This way, they have built a space of 360 square meters filled with stone modules which represent iconic skate spots in Barcelona such as the MACBA square.

So now that we already know the skate spots in the city, let’s see other great areas to skateboard: nice skate parks in Barcelona.

Skate Park Mar Bella

One of the best skate parks in Barcelona. Why? Because it is located by the sea at the Mar Bella beach. And those palm trees in the background take us back to those skate parks in California, for instance the Venice beach skate park. It has an area of 2.895 square meters, and it offers different difficulty levels, with ramps and jumps.

Fòrum Skate Park

This one is a small park, located near la Mar Bella area, and it has ramps, steps and rails. It consists of a rectangular surface, divided in two areas. On one side there is a street zone with diverse rails, and on the other side there is a bowl.

Where: Parc del Fòrum, near la Mar Bella area.

Skatepark Les Corts

This skate park is located in the Jardí d’Áurea Cuadrado, near Camp Nou Stadium in les Corts neighborhood. It has an area of 2.572 square meters, and has diverse skating blocks, such as walls, ramps or platforms. This skate park is ideal for beginners who are just starting in this sport.

La Marina Skate Park

Did you know that Shakira skateboarded at this skatepark? It was recently created, and actually the newest of all skate parks in Barcelona. It has an area of 3.000 squares, and it is located in the district of Sants-Montjuïc.
