As coffee lovers and (sometimes) workaholics, we love to spend entire mornings or evenings in a coffee shop in Barcelona reading, working on personal projects or just doing some homework. That’s why we have explored many coffee shops in Barcelona and we have our favorite ones, of course. Beautiful places, nice staff, delicious food… balancing these aspects we have chosen the best coffee shops in Barcelona:
1. Mama’s Café
Located in Torrijos street, Mama’s Cafe is a cozy Barcelona cafe, and you will get that feeling right from the moment you step in. Details that make it special and one of the best coffee shops in Barcelona: a comfortable coach placed in a little kids area with toys for mums and kids to share special moments, a beautiful patio to enjoy a good cup of coffee in the morning or a delicious tea in the afternoon or evening. Also they make delicious brunches and homemade cakes! And what’s also important… wi-fi ;)
2. Cosmo Bar (closed)
Near Zona Universitaria, its modern decoration makes along with its variety of teas, juices and salads make it one of the best Barcelona coffee shops. Original quotes painted on the walls, bicycles hanging from the wall, lots of colorful and original lamps… It is actually an itinerant art gallery showing off the most vanguardist and modern art. Authenticity is what makes Cosmo cafe Barcelona a different coffee shop. There is also a kids area, and even though they don’t have wi-fi, it is a really nice place to work remotely. The artistic and original atmosphere might inspire you!
3. Granja PetitBo
Granja PetitBo is a perfect place for a coffee break. But also… for enjoying a delicious brunch! Beautifully decorated in an old-fashioned style that makes it so cosy. Vintage chairs and tables, high ceilings, an open space with views directly to the city (Passeig Sant Joan) makes it another of the best coffee shops in Barcelona. The only inconvenient of Granja PetitBo: they don’t have wi-fi either.
4. Cafè Camèlia
If you are looking for a more intimate Barcelona coffee shop, this is the place. Located in one of the main streets in the Gracia neighborhood (Verdi Street), Camèlia Café is the perfect place for a winter cosy evening enjoying tea and a good talk with your friends. Wi-fi included!
5. Sandwichez Barcelona
Besides these beautiful Barcelona coffee shops, we also recommend the coffee shop chain Sandwichez Barcelona, ideal for those who seek a coffee shop to do some homework or work. (It also has wi-fi!). Definitely another of the best coffee shops in Barcelona that we really like.
