Summer has come to an end, but the good news is that there are plenty of things to do in Barcelona in October! Fall brings with it a variety of activities for all tastes and ages. Here are some of them:

Medieval Fair: Fira Medieval de Creu Coberta

If you enjoy attending medieval fairs, you don’t want to miss this one taking place in the city center! The location of the event holds historical significance: Creu Coberta Street, in the Sants neighborhood, served as the entrance to the city during medieval times, where traders and merchants would converge. Centuries later, this same street transforms into a recreation of its historical past, offering activities for all ages, culinary delights, street-side shops, and an authentic atmosphere.

When and where: September 30th and October 1st, on Creu Coberta Street (Sants neighborhood).

48H Open House Barcelona

Experience one of the most exciting events in the city! During the 48h Open House, you have the unique opportunity to explore numerous buildings that are typically closed to the public. Visiting these extraordinary places, such as Palau de la Música Catalana, is always a fantastic idea!

Sitges Film Festival

Shout out to all cinema lovers: In October, there’s a must-attend event for you: the Sitges Film Festival, also known as the Festival Internacional de Cinema Fantàstic de Catalunya. This exciting festival isn’t hosted in Barcelona but in the charming coastal town of Sitges, which makes it a perfect day trip destination. The best part? It’s just a quick 25-minute train ride away from Barcelona!

When and where: From October 5th – 15th, Sitges.

Festival Jazz Barcelona

For the jazz music lovers, we have good news: The Festival Jazz Barcelona is held in the city offering a wide range of jazz concerts in iconic venues.

When and where: from September 18th to December 30th in iconic theaters such as  such as Teatre Liceu, Teatre Tívoli or Palau de la Música Catalana.

The perfect combination of cinema and music. Festival In-Edit is a documentary film festival focused on music, featuring the most iconic bands and singers in acclaimed documentaries.

When and where: From October 27th to November 6th in Mooby Aribau Cinemas.
