Van Van Market, a food street festival

Date:

Music, fun, friends… and amazing food cooked in beautiful food trucks! Van Van Market is a street food festival which offers gastronomic proposals from all over the world: India, Mexico, Italy, France… And what makes this food street festival unique is watching how they cook your dish from a non-common restaurant kitchen: the food trucks.

These cool vehicles are one of the latest trends in Barcelona when it comes to food, and we really like it! And actually that is one of the pleasures of this gastronomic proposal, the experience for your senses doesn’t just begin right after you get your meal ready. It starts from the very first time you order your meal: while waiting in line and paying attention at how your meal is cooked from the food truck.

Van Van Market in Barcelona: food from around the world

Crèpes, burgers, frankfurts, pizza… The food offer of the Van Van Market is really varied. After walking around for a while we decided to stop by one the food trucks. What was our choice? Indian food! We ate a delicious chicken curry from Masala73 food truck, which offered a really varied dishes with amazing and strong flavours typical from the Indian cuisine. And here is proof:

Van Van Market, beyond a food experience

Besides enjoying the pure food experience with its authentic and diverse tastes, this market offers more than this. You can enjoy your meal sited in the many tables distributed along the food truck path, so the social aspect of this festival is also really important. Socialising while enjoying your food and sharing points of view can be really enriching and fun at the same time.

You can find more information on future editions at their website. Tapas, paella, tortilla… We all know the food in Barcelona and its restaurants is delicious… But don’t stop from trying a different food experience like this one at the Van Van Market and other street food festivals in Barcelona.
