You probably have heard about the famous tomato bread. But what is actually the traditional Catalan bread? Here is the answer: pa de pagès. When you eat a slice of bread covered with tomato and a drizzle of olive oil, that slice comes from a delicious round bread. Indeed: Pa de pagès!

What is pa de pagès?

You have seen it many times at the bakeries: a round bread, with a crispy crust and large alveolate. It is made in the traditional way, following slow fermentations.
