History of the Magic Fountain of Montjuic
The Magic Fountain of Montjuic was built in 1929 for a really special occasion: the city hosted the Barcelona International Exposition. This fountain was designed by Carles Buïgas, and it was a technological marvel of its time. It featured a complex system of water jets and colorful lighting.

Ready for the show? When the sun sets… The Magic Fountain of Montjuic offers a beautiful show of lights and music. A performance where the lights synchronize to the rhythm of music.
The show is displayed according to this schedule (check first before visiting, since sometimes is temporarily out of service):
April 1 to May 31 & October 1-31: Thursday to Saturday, from 9pm to 10pm.
June 1 to September 31: Wednesday to Sunday, from 9.30pm to 10.30pm.
November 1 to March 31: Thursday to Saturday, from 8pm to 9pm.
