The origin of the Gràcia festival dates back to 1817 when the first references to the celebration were found. A curious fact: Did you know that the neighborhood of Vila de Gràcia was an independent municipality from 1850 to 1897?

The Gràcia festival offers around 900 activities, designed for people of all ages to enjoy. Among them, you’ll find ‘cercaviles’ (traditional parades through the neighborhood streets), castellers’ performances, concerts, popular meals… Not to mention the most iconic aspect: the decoration of the neighborhood streets!
