Today we’re traveling to the best beaches in Palamós, one of the most vibrant towns on the Costa Brava! In addition to having a beautiful old town and a fishing history that spans centuries, this town also boasts some of the most beautiful beaches. Take note!

Cala s’Alguer

It’s probably the most Instagrammed beach in Palamós, and even on the Costa Brava! We dedicated a special article to this beautiful cove, Cala s’Alguer, with all the details of its history linked to the fishermen and the Camí de Ronda that leads to it. Undoubtedly, one of the best beaches in Palamos.

La Fosca

This beach has a very distinctive aesthetic, defined by a large rock known as the “black rock” that divides it into two spaces. This rock is shrouded in legends about this place, “La Fosca”, which we encourage you to discover! Also, the surroundings are so nice and family-friendly, with cool bars, shops, and restaurants. Perfect for a fun beach day!

Platja Castell

Besides being one of the best beaches in Palamós, Platja de Castell holds historical significance as it is home to archaeological remains that date back to ancient times. You can also enjoy water activities, such as snorkeling or kayaking, while enjoying beautiful views of the Mediterranean coastline.

Cala Estreta

This cove has a challenging access compared to the previous ones. The coastal path leading to it involves some technical difficulty, so the easiest option is to access it from the Cala Castell parking lot, following the indicated trail. Make sure to review the itinerary before setting out! As for describing the calmness and beauty of this stunning cove, a picture is worth a thousand words:

Besides the beautiful beaches in Palamós that we have highlighted, you can also include Platja Gran de Palamós on your list. It is located close to the old town and might be the best option if you are planning a relaxing day at the beach, shopping, and exploring the town center of Palamós.
