Now that you know where to find a pumpkin for Halloween in Barcelona, there is still one question left to really get in the spooky mood: Where to find Halloween decorations in Barcelona? As you might have noticed while taking a walk, it is October already and there is no pumpkin bread, pumpkin cookies, pumpkin yogurt, pumpkin ravioli, pumpkin spice hummus, pumpkin cereals, pumpking jelly, pumpkin-… What is going on? What a cultural shock to deal with, huh :-P
All joking aside, the truth is that we celebrate “la Castanyada” instead of Halloween during this month. But here is the good news: you can celebrate both! Because it is really easy to find Halloween decorations in Barcelona if you know where to start searching… And to make the search easier for you, here we share our favorite shops in the city to where we usually go when Halloween is approaching…
Flying Tiger: Halloween candy
We don’t have Target here where getting all your Halloween stuff would be as easy as a quick trip to this store. BUT, we have this Target little version called “Tiger” (or Flying Tiger recently), a Danish variety store chain, where you can find the most curious and original stuff. Including lots of Halloween decorations! And so a couple of days ago we went to check what they had this year for the spookiest night, and we found lots of things.
Best part: it is not too expensive, and there are many of these stores in Barcelona.
- Carrer Comtal 32 / Carrer del Consell de Cent 341 / Carrer del Rosselló 247 / Carrer Gran de Gràcia 75 / Ronda de la Universitat 11 / Carrer de Muntaner 272 / Passeig de Fabra i Puig 188 / Carrer de Sants 138.
- Malls: Illa Diagonal, Diagonal Mar.
If you have a look at their website you will quickly get an idea of the many Halloween decorations that you can find in this store.
Party Fiesta: a must for Halloween parties
We already included this place in the article about where to get a pumpkin in Barcelona. Because if you get the most beautiful pumpkin but you don’t find the tools to prove your carving skills and get the spookiest pumpkin, what is the point? ;-) In Party Fiesta you will not only find the tools to carve your pumpkin, but also Halloween decorations specially to ornament windows and walls (stickers, sprays, spider webs, etc.).
Addresses:
- Carrer del Consell de Cent 343 / Carrer del Pintor Fortuny 6 / Plaça de Gal·la Placídia 16.
- Malls: La Maquinista, l’Illa Diagonal Diagonal Mar.
Cereria Subirà: Halloween candles
When thinking of Halloween decorations at home, there is one element that we specially love to create the perfect atmosphere: candles. We recommend the beautiful candle shop Cereria Subirà which is actually the oldest shop in Barcelona.
This candle shop not only gives you a kind of a magical feeling, but also it has as many candles as you can imagine. So specially if you are spending Halloween in Barcelona and want to get in the mood, a visit to Cereria Subirà is highly recommended. It is located in the city center, near the city hall.
Address: Baixada de la Llibreteria 7.
Raima stationery shop: Halloween diy decorations
And if beyond buying Halloween decorations in Barcelona you feel like creating some yourself, here is a place where you will probably find the material you need: Raima. This place is an old (and huge) stationery shop that every notebook-pens-paper freak in Barcelona (as we are) should visit at least once.
Address: Carrer Comtal 27.
Have you started to decorate your home to feel that Halloween vibe? Do you know any other places where to find Halloween decorations in Barcelona? We would love to know!
