After living in the US, when we returned to Barcelona, we decided to open this blog to share our city from a local perspective, where culture, history, and anthropology meet. Initially, it was a small project aimed at helping our friends, students, and anyone visiting our city from the US.
Over the years, the initial project has grown, attracting readers and followers from around the world. And Americans in Barcelona has naturally evolved into a cultural platform open to everyone, a bridge between cultures.
Our main mission is simple: to discover the most interesting local stories from our culture and showcase the most wonderful traditions and local places that have shaped the city over time, transforming it into one of the most beautiful places today.
Telling stories brings us joy, and we’re even happier to share them with everyone eager to explore all that this city has to offer!
